Friday Five

1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?
Novels

2. What is your favorite novel?

3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!)
Because…

Because I care,
I say the things I say.
And because I care,
I do what I do each day.

Because I love you,
I listen when you talk.
Don’t want you to fall,
so I’m watching where you walk.

Because I see
a candle burning bright,
I manage to sleep
each cold, lonely night.

Because I dream,
I face each day anew.
I love that dream…
That dream is you.
-I’m going to leave the author anonymous on this one… :)

Friday!

1. What is your most prized material possession?
I’m not sure… I think that most of what I have I could live without when it comes down to it. There are things I got from my grandma’s that I really love and since they are both dead they are irreplaceable… or maybe my computer since so much of my life is on it… you know friends/family/documents/blog…. I always think that pictures are the most irreplaceable thing… but I don’t think i can really choose…

2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest?
My blanket, that I still use nightly on my bed was made by my grandma even before I can remember. I think I got it sometime around 4 or 5… It was the quilt on my first big girl bed. It is in sad shape now… Lots of holes and the material is very thin… but it is just perfect!

3. Are you a packrat?
I try not to be… I go through big throwing away sprees every now and then… But yes I do keep a lot of crap I don’t need…

4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum?
I like it to be clean but I am a bit of a slob…. I never want that sterile museum like look though… I want to be comfortable.

5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there?
Our bathroom has a rubber ducky theme… and the living room kind of has a Nova Scotia, Brier Island/Lighthouse theme….

It’s only a day….

Thursday… it’s just another day… Why do I feel so scared of it right now… oh yeah… I have a lot of crap to do that I am not prepared for. After German I am working at an info booth about SOA and Pax Christi (so if any of you want to know what those are you can ask) Then I have a meeting with two Professors so that they can tell me what I need to do to help graduating students make an electronic portfolio. Then I have a class that I won’t be paying attention in so that I can study for the test in my next class…. Then I have some actual time off to study for the test… Then I take the test I am not prepared for. Then finally I can breathe (sp?)… and go over to my friend’s house and act like a fool and have some fun!

I want to say hello to everyone visiting from “Proof of the Pudding” It is a blog from the Netherlands that linked to me a few days ago and has been showing up a lot in my referer list. I can’t really speak or read Dutch but with some help from Jason I think that they are interested in Neko. And if you are you can get your very own Neko by double clicking him.
