And the pain continues…

Well I got into the University health services… they didn’t do much… good thing it is free. They looked at it, said I did a great job cleaning it and gave me a bunch of free supplies (that’s the best part about health services) They told me to stay off of it for 24 hours and keep it elevated as much as possible… Thats fine but now the few times I do move… you know for necesary reason… the pain seems worse than when I was walking on it more often earlier in the day…

Ugh… the pain of being an elementary ed major… you have so many binders, no place to put them… and they end up in your foot!!!

Owwwwwwwwwwww

I just stepped on an open ring of a 3inch three ring binder… Since I don’t have insurance I have to wait for the University health services to look at it, which they can’t do until after 1:00…. Looks like I should call into work for today….

Oww…

Ooops…

I was trying to clean up my template… by getting rid of Wander-lust and a few other things that didn’t work… I must have accidently erased too much because everything got screwed up… But Jason being the sweetie he is got it fixed right away for me… Still a few funny things… but nothing major.

Thanks J!

Oh yeah…

I think I am starting to get a sore throat… :(

Rise and Shine

Well it is time to start another day… according to the weather reports there will be thunderstorms here all day today… ohwell… I wasn’t planning on doing much outdoors anyway. I work for awhile today and then I have a going away party for a friend of mine and Jason’s… he goes back to Germany on Saturday…

It will probably be a late night and I am up way toooo early, but I think I will survive.

Yesterday Chris Pirillo stole my quote about that software to use in his windows newsletter that he sends out… the funny thing was that he called me Deb Verber… I was going to email him and tell him that won’t be true for another year… but I am sure he has more important emails to take care of and it doesn’t really matter that much.

Life… :)

Life is now beginning to return to normal… no more traveling for the rest of the summer… yippy.

The other day I was able to try out some software that I won at Gnomedex… it is absolutely amazing. I won SnagIt and Camtasia Studio from TechSmith… It is about $400 worth of software and I can see why… At my University I am paid by a few of my professors to teach a workshop on PowerPoint, it is extremely simple, I teach people to make a four slide presentation with graphics, transitions and a theme… Camtasia studio would totally eliminate the need for me to teach this presentation so often. What it does is record what is happening on the screen, you can then go in, edit it and add naration/music or whatever you want to it. This means I could go through the process of making a PowerPoint with this program, narrate it, put it on CD and just hand it to people to learn from… For anyone who teaches any form of technology to someone you can see how useful this would be… :)

Other than playing with that I have just been hanging out and relaxing, yesterday a friend and I bought a whole bunch of pampering supplies and sat around with face masks on talking and watching TV… it was great… it is great to be home finally relaxing… :)
