My parents bought Jason and I a Bride’s Tree…. They went to a thing in our area called the festival of trees, where companies decorate really great trees and then they are auctioned off and some money goes to charity. Well my mom has been going every year and she has always wanted to get one of these, so I didn’t think anything of it when my dad said she bid on a tree then said oops maybe I wasn’t suppose to say that… I went home, by myself, yesterday. I walk in and my mom is said “Where’s Jason, he was suppose to come too, we got you something.” I walk up and notice the tree, she says “Its for you.” I asked how the heck it could be for me… Well I will give you details of what was on and under the tree in a bit, but anyway they are using this as their tree this year and they will keep it up until our wedding, they will bring it to our reception hall where it will be used for putting presents around and the card box near as well as the guestbook and stuff…. To find out more details about the tree click more… because I don’t like long entries…
Here is what the paper that came with it says:
According to German tradition, the tree of a newlywed couple should include 12 ornaments to insure blessing and happiness for their life together. A wonderful reminder of what makes a happy home at Christmas. The tree itself should be evergreen or spruce, to remind us that life is everlasting and should have a star on top.
Heart = True love

The Bride’s Tree glass Ornament cellections, consists of two sets of 12 ornaments. One set is mouth-blown in northern Bavaria and fitted with the Star cap, signature of Inge Glass, a family workshop of glass blowers now in its 15th generation. Created in antique molds, the second set is produced for the Merck Family’s Old World Christmas Glass Ornament line and is handcrafted in age-old traditions.
The miniature wedding dress is a dream, remantic fantasy in tulle, ribbon and seed pearls. The gown is made by hand with as much care as a bride’s real weding dress. The Star on top of the tree is a Swarovski hand-cut Austrian crystal tree topper, new in 2003.
Also under the tree are:
Handmade tree skirt, made the same as the miniature wedding dress.
$100 to a place that holds parties/receptions
$50 to a cake place
$50 to a flower place
Bottle of 1999 Iron Horse Wedding Cuvee Sparkling Champagne
50 sets of personalized stationary
Two crystal fluted champagne glasses with etched grapevine/ivy motif
