Week two of the internship is almost half done. It has been great so far. It is really difficult and I am really tired at the end of the day… But everytime I work with the students I know that this is what I want to do….
This is a really new experience for me though, I have always done things in regular size regular ed class rooms. For this internship I am working in my minor which is English as a Second Language, this means that I don’t have mine own class, I just pull students out of other people’s classrooms. My largest group is five students… It makes discipline a little easier. The hard part is that I have 1st graders through 6th graders. It is so hard to have such a range of students in one day… but it also makes it more interesting I guess. I don’t think I ever want a job just as an ESL teacher though… I think I will be more prepared to deal with ESL studnets in my regular classroom, but I think I want a regular classroom.
On the wedding front three out of the four bridesmaid’s dresses are ordered. I have the measurements for the last dress I just need to get down to the bridal shop to get it ordered… Jason and I looked at invitations, we found some we liked… we just need to look at cake stuff before he goes… which is in 10 days… ahhhhhhhhh
