Yesterday was the last day of work… and I can barely call it that…. I went to school for 30 minutes to exchange gifts with my cooperating teacher. I almost cried when I said goodbye to the principal and I almost cried even more when I said good by to my CT…. She was really great and she taught me a lot… I am going to miss her and that school… the staff was amazing. I miss alot of my students already also… I am very happy I got a yearbook so I can remember their names and faces… I had a really good internship experience and I don’t think I could have asked for a better placement… *sigh*

School’s Out

Monday, June 7th, 2004Four days left with students at school…. then three more teacher only days…. I am definitly ready for this year to be over…. Time is moving so fast… I just want to be in mine and Jason’s own apartment…. no roomates…. I can’t wait…. only two more months until I pack up and leave little ole Wisconsin and head to little ole Iowa… I’m not sure if I ever even announced that fact on this blog yet. Jason got an EXCELLENT fellowship (they pay him) at the University of Iowa…. So that is where he will be going to grad school and where I will be looking for a job…. The only problem is that we get married here in WI on Aug 14th…. and the first day for teachers in IA is Aug 17th…. Jason’s first day of classes is the 23rd…. so we are pretty much planning on a Honeymoon for the next summer…. but that gives us more time to plan and save some money so I guess it will be ok…. and hey moving to a whole new state and having our own apartment for the first time is kinda like a honeymoon…. besides the whole stressful part of it… 
Well I am getting ready for my last Monday with my students…. I bought them all a box of crayons since many of my students don’t have crayons or markers or anything at home… and I made them all a laminated bookmark with their names on it…. It’s hard to believe it’s almost over…. but it is…. wow….

Deblog is now run by wordpress…. we were having some issues (which is why you couldn’t comment before, because I know you were all trying!!!) so it seemed like a great time to switch over to Wordpress, we would have had to eventually because there is no way we could afford MT with the number of blogs and authors we have….. so here we are…. it’s not too bad…. a little different…. but I am using it so it can’t be too un-user friendly…. and my site still looks pretty… which is important….
