Ok… so we move in one week…

Saturday, July 10th, 2004

Now not even a week. We pack up the Uhaul… which will contain all large items, on Wednesday… We will be living in Wisconsin for a week with no furniture… it will make for some fun interesting times… :) I still can’t believe we will have our own apartment in Iowa in less than one week… I think not actually living there for a while though will give us time to set it up and make it look less like we just moved in… By the time we start actually living there after the wedding it will hopefully feel like home already…

I can’t believe I will be living in a different state… I mean I lived in the same house my whole life until college… this will be wierd… fun… but wierd… Needless to say there won’t be nearly as many random trips home to visit the parents….

Wow

Jason got my countdown put up and some of my pictures and things in the sidebar are working again…. Yippy! He also showed me some cool WordPress stuff… Not sure how much I remember just yet, but so far I like what I am learning…. WordPress=Good

Monday has arrived…

40 days until the wedding… Jason took the countdown off my page so I keep having to go to The Knot to check what we are at… This week we have to finish getting our rings figured out… we were having a hard time deciding on Jason’s… there are so many different types of metal available now… And we want to get something that will last but also not spend $700… Luckily my mom has been putting money in my savings account whenever she could and she said that is money I can spend on things like that… And we also realized that we payed our last months rent at the old apartment already… so money things aren’t quite as stressful as they were… :)

Now we just have the stress of moving… I have started packing… Jason hasn’t… Once I get all my laundry done I plan on packing all my winter stuff, and even some other stuff…

I have my practice hair appointment on Wednesday… I am kind of excited for that… for once I am going to leave a lot of my hair down… in most of my past formal hair styles a lot has been up and I just don’t look good with my hair up… So I am hoping to find a style that is still formal yet looks good on me…

Yesterday was Tigger’s 2nd birthday… that means Feeny will be turning 3 in August… It feels like we have had kitties forever. Feeny’s Funhouse was also resurrected yesterday… I like the new layout, it is nice and simple.

Time flies…

… when you have more to do than you have the energy to do… I have been feeling very lethargic lately… maybe it is the heat but I don’t know. Anyway.

The first trip to Iowa with just me and Jason was fun… the drive down was even kind of fun… Except that I have only really driven with myself since before J was gone… and I wasn’t used to having someone else drive so I was a little psycho in the passenger seat… but besides that we had fun singing along to the radio and finding hill cows (cows that live on hills). We had fun while we were there just going around town and kind of making ourselves familiar with the area. We walked around his campus a bit… it is a beautiful campus. I am so happy he is going there..

So we came home and realized that Jason’s parents wanted to see where we would be living and what his campus was like so we went down again this Wednesday and Thursday. I really enjoyed the drive down and being around town again. It is a large community but I think I will adjust.

This whole experience will be very new for me… From the time I was born until I turned 18 I lived in the same house, then I moved to college 30 minutes away. I have never been to a really different community and area and I am really excited about it… a little scared too.

On the wedding front I now have hair appointments and the cake done…. I am going to my mom’s today to start separating the 30lbs of M&M’s we got into cute little party favors for the guests… Oh yeah Jason and I went and looked at rings, mine is ordered and we will decide about his when mine comes in… :)
