Frank the turkey that is.
Jason and I spent the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday visiting our parents and family up in Wisconsin. It was a fun weekend. Wednesday I spent the day helping my sister set up her new laptop (which means I got my old one back) and having dinner with my parents while Jason caught up with old high school friends at a party…
Thursday was the main event… We spent the morning watching Harry Potter III and convincing Frank (Jason’s family’s turkey) to finally reach 180 degrees… Around 1 he warmed up a little and we enjoyed a great Thanksgiving meal #1… Then it was of to my house for Thanksgiving meal #2… the turkey there was unnamed… but we almost had a crisis when Sassy (my parents dog) didn’t have a chair at the table… But never fear I was offered cranberry goo… Just as I am every single year since birth… and just as I have, every single year since birth, I told my parents I don’t like it…
Ahhhh traditions… Then it was back to Jason’s parent’s house for some good old reliable cut throat competition with a dose of fun thrown in… We played spades and hearts and had a good time winning and losing….
Friday we had lunch with an old high school friend and then hit the road for the six hour drive home to two kitties who hadn’t been loved in three days… Friday also marks an anniversary for Jason and I… If we were still dating (instead of being married) it would have been our seven year anniversary…
What better way to share it than with family and friends in the morning and two needy kitties at night… Now if only we could have skipped that drive in between…
And last but not least… I don’t think I have said this here… but all the wedding pictures are now available for your viewing pleasure here.
