Completely UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!

I found this through one of my Iowa Blogs….

It is an article about how cats are “unchristian” and even anti-christian… After all they are promiscuous, lick themselves and touch themselves inappropriatly…

I gather that it is from a Jehova Witness (sp?) based on the sounds of it… I think at one point near the end the article almost suggests killing cats… and in the same paragraph it almost sounds like the author is upset that rebellious children can’t be treated in a similar manner… I’m not sure on that…. I didn’t spend too much time reading it and everything is mixed among wordy acounts of blah blah blah….

DITZ MOMENT!!!!!

Wow… One minute I am quoting Jessica Simpson the next minute I become her…

Abbie and I went to a concert this weekend…. as we were leaving the parking garage (which took about 30minutes) there were some very rude people trying to cut in line… one mini-van was inches from my passenger side door and looked annoyed at me for not letting him in… anyway… There was a car that I kept referring to as a Jaguar… Abbie corrected me and said “I think it is a Mustang” I ever so brilliantly say “Well it doesn’t matter they are both freaking horses.” Can you believe I am not blonde??? I blame it on the lack of oxygen from climbing over 5 flights of steps just minutes before…

On a side note as we were leaving the garage we saw a guy who we thought was very polite… he opened the door for his girlfriend and everything… But then he went and pretended to look over the edge of the parking ramp wall and proceded to pee in the corner…

Iowa Blogs

I recently started reading a few Iowa blogs… I added a blogroll for them… I know there are lots more of Iowa blogs out there but these are the ones I currently read and have found…

In the words of true thinker…

Jessica Simpson: I’m 23, that’s almost 25, and that’s almost middle-aged.

So I am now almost middle-aged… I don’t feel much different… and I think that watching an episode of The Wiggles this morning lowered my age quite a bit anyway… :)

A visit with the vet…

Today Feeny and Tigger both went to the vet for the first time here in Iowa…. I was a little nervous about it because Feeny has gotten progressivly more crabby with each vet visit. He was freaking out the whole time getting there and very crabby while we waited. When we put him on the table he hissed and fought like crazy… but the vet here wasn’t afraid of him like our old vet seemed to be… so he just did what he had to do and held Feeny in ways that kept Feeny from biting him. It is kind of nice that he can handle Feeny and we won’t need to give him sedatives or anything just for routine vet visits… :)

Feeny has been getting these wierd little black dots on his chin lately… I asked the vet about them and he said it is feline acne… Feeny must officially be a teenager, the vet suggested using something like stridex pads to help take care of it… :)

Oh and the best news for last. We asked the vet specifically about Feeny’s size and what an ideal weight for him would be. Feeny weighed in at 23lbs… Actually a little less than we had thought. The vet said that Feeny is just a big cat. He is healthy and muscular…. and just big. He said he could lose a few pounds and be ok but healthwise it wouldn’t make that much of a difference. Tigger weighed in at 10.5lbs… Feeny has 13lbs on him yet Tigger insists on starting fights…. we always knew he wasn’t very smart.

A good day….

Yesterday Jason and I decided to celebrate my birthday, which is the 18th. He starts school again on Tuesday so it just seemed like a good idea to celebrate on the weekend. He took me out for brunch… Then we went to see The Phantom of the Opera and had dinner afterwards… It was a nice day. :)

Phantom was really good. I have seen it on stage twice and totally love it… I wasn’t sure what to expect from the movie but overall it was great. There is something about the music in that show that just gets to me…. I always get the chills when I see it performed… The phantom in the movie wasn’t the best I have seen but he definitly didn’t ruin the music or anything….
