I am a thief… Jason and I went to Target the other day to pick up a few things… I have been wanting to get a new purse for awhile… since Target has a fairly nice selection I looked there and found one I liked. That was the first thing we did… and I didn’t have my old purse with me…. We didn’t have a cart so I was holding the new purse…. and totally forgot about it… We paid for our other things and I walked right out… no one even noticed… even though the purse had its tag hanging right out…. I went back in and paid… Honesty cost me $17… but I really like the purse… 
I’m surprised the security thingy by the doors didn’t go off! But honesty IS the best policy.
It didn’t have an electronic tag on it at all… So I didn’t beep… but the tag was pretty obvious since I didn’t try to hide it or anything… and I stood at the checkout for a few minutes….
Our Target has the beepers and an armed security gaurd. :/ I would hate to see what (if anything!) they would do if that happened here!
Kim: The guard is armed? We have a uniformed guard (and the uniform is a lot more official/”real” looking than normal rent-a-cop uniforms) but I don’t think he’s armed… Then again, maybe you just live in an area with more crime…
