So compared to my ever so optimistic and happy last post this one will seem not nice…
Today was kinda an icky day… Jason is having a hard time traveling and it is hard to not be able to do anything to help him… the people who were supposed to pick him up in Dar es Salaam weren’t there… no one answered the phone number they gave him… he had been travelling for almost 15hrs and it was 11:30pm in Dar es Salaam… He had to find his way to a hotel that took credit card, very few did, and had to pay $150 for a cheap hotel room… He’s tired, exhausted and home sick and it really sucks to not be able to do anything for him…
It will also be interesting to see what the one call from Germany and the two from Dar es Salaam will show up like on our cell bill… UPDATE!! Just checked our cell plan.. it will be $4.99 for every minute from Tanzania… which is probably $30-40 so far and $1.29 from Germany which will probably be just $5-6 so far….
And because of dealing with Jason I was almost late to a meeting about subbing for next year… but the meeting was actually a good thing. We are switching to an automatic/online system so I can look ahead and take jobs… and tell the computer when I’m not available etc… It will be harder for specific teachers to request me though…
So thats life in a nutshell… I hope things get better for J… I would be so scared to be alone in Africa with nowhere to go and noone to call….
Today was so beautiful… hot… but beautiful.
I went to church and I loved seeing all the cute old couples, one couple was celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary… old people in love rock!
I mowed the lawn… I love how the grass looks after it’s been mowed… I am tired and my arms hurt a little but the grass looks nice…
I love how the puppies sleep all day long in the grass… then wake up to prance at a bird across the lawn…
I love how Penny waits for me to enter a room and go upstairs before her… we definitely won’t have any dominance issues with her…
I finished reading The Lovely Bones… it was an amazing book. I cried a lot, it made me miss J… But when I miss him I think about how much I love him, which is nice…
I hope everyone else enjoyed today…

I only pay .04 a minute to call Jason in Germany… Not bad…
I am reading The Lovely Bones, it was recommended to me a while ago by my cooperating teacher…. it is a really good book so far, but very hard to read when you are near that emotional time of the month… lots of crying… but very good!
The new Dean Koontz book comes out soon!! I can’t wait for that. In other news I saw some guy on ebay selling Dean Koontz promotional t-shirts… I so wanted to buy them, especially the Dark Rivers of the Heart one… but after taxes, and the new dog I decided to pass for now…
… we all could use a little more Cuteoverload… I know links for that site have gone around a few times already… but I felt like it was time for a reminder on how wonderful that site is…
In other news… I need to do some major link revamping… I am struggling with some categories though… Maybe I will do family/friends/scrapbooking/iowa…. but then where does someone like Rachel go… friends/scrapbooking and Iowa??? Should I not have categories…. And Jason… Iowa/family and friends…. hmmmmm I will need to sleep on this…
