In case there wasn’t enough evidence…

I am now officially a huge dork! I am reading… and I come across the work f*cking… The voice in my head read it as freaking instead…. I can’t even swear in my head… I think I need therapy!

Friends and a Wedding

So I am in WI right now, last night was a friend’s wedding… it was a lot of fun… kind of like a high school reunion only not my high school… Jason’s high school with a little of Wausau East thrown in there as well… Here are some pics from George’s (Alicia’s) big day… Click for larger

Life continues… In a good way…

So this past weekend we had the lovely Donna Downey visiting us at Reminisce… It was one of the most amazing weekends ever. She is such a wonderful, genuine and fun person… I really think we should have kidnapped her and kept her at our store… she fit in so well with all the staff and our customers… it was wonderful… The weekend resulted in some interestingly suggestive pics of me and a drill, some really cool projects and a sore side from laughing so much! I loved her drill 101 lessons in which she described proper handling of the drill by imagining our husband/boyfriends faces if we handled them similarly… :)
Here are two pics of me with the drill and one of Donna with Missy on her back (Missy just got engaged a week ago! Donna commented on how she was lighter than her kids… Then proceeded to pick her up) As usual click for larger…I love how Abbie is in the background ignoring me!  Oooh and I just added one of a group of us out on the town!

Abbie went back to WI on Monday… But I get to see her for a wedding this weekend… she is my date… And Monday I also got a promotion at work… I am now an assistant manager…. I was very honored to be asked and happy that I am working at such a wonderful place! Now if only Jason were home life would be perfect… :)

Sigh, Maybe Someday I will meet him!

Q #3: I adore you and have since I was a teenager! I’m now 29. I’ve read and loved every single book. When on earth can I meet you at a book signing??? I live in the Dreadful Northeast! —Heather, Worcester, MAHeather, I urge you to move at once from the Dreadful Northeast to the Blissful Northeast. I suspect you may be stuck in a malevolent alternate reality. We can test that suspicion. In your world, is Lex Luthor the governor of Massachusetts? Is Adam Sandler a stage actor renowned for his performances in the plays of Shakespeare? In your world, does the nation’s primary fast-food franchise sell burgers made with ground lizard meat? Yes, Heather, you are in a malevolent alternate reality. Proceed at once to your nearest Starbucks, enter the rest room, turn three times in a circle while repeating the word cinnamon, and the room will transform into a cross-dimensional vehicle that can bring you safely to a benign alternate reality. As for book signings: I have never done a book-signing tour, staying exclusively within California. If eventually I get ahead of my deadlines, I might consider a lengthy trip around the country to visit bookstores and meet readers. Meanwhile, anyone who writes to me at the address given above and asks for three or fewer bookplates, either with generic inscriptions or with inscriptions specific to certain titles, will be sent them on a timely basis. We do not accept books for signature because in the days when we did, they came in such volume that a full-time employee was required to unpack and repack them—repetitive and dreary work that threatened the sanity of said employee even more than having to work with me threatened her sanity.

Lots of stuff…

So I was out of town this last weekend and didn’t get around to blogging… then i came home and had no cable or internet… then i got logged out of wordpress (i am usually constantly logged in) and forgot my username and password so I had to email Jason for it… So here are some random thoughts I have had the last few days…

- Went to a scrapbook store in Wausau… I have to say I have yet to find a scrapbook store that is better than the one I work at… And i’m not saying that cuz I work there… If there was a better one somewhere it would be pretty cool… I like finding new/good/cool scrapbook stuff… bring on the good stores…

- Everytime I go home my dad does something to my car… oil… belts… lights…. cleaning… its kinda nice…

- Jason has been gone too long… its starting to suck now… he can come home.

- Rachel has got me addicted to Janet Evanovich… she cost me a $400 dog and now over $100 in books… I need to find a friend who sits at home and stares at the wall or something cheap….

- I don’t like the word hate… there are only two people in the entire world I think I could come close to saying that about… and I still usually just say I don’t like them… Its kind of wierd that those two people don’t know each other… but my reasons for not liking them are the same…

- I have really liked going to work lately… even if it is busy and I am tired…

- 29 days until Jason comes home…

- I like Dairy Queen crunch coat stuff… nummy

- I am also addicted to frozen/blended coffee drinks… which are probably like 2000 calories per drink… but they are nummy! And full of energy…

- I got like 5 or so inches cut off my hair… i think it is a little too short for now… but hey its hair… it grows…  maybe I will post a pic soon
