We have had a breakthrough…. After many trips to ponds, pools and lakes we have successfully gotten Lucy to swim. We had to start slow… Jason would throw a ball just a few feet into the water so she could get it with only getting her feet wet… Eventually we had her comfortably going up to her chest in the water… Then he tried throwing it just a bit further… and she would stop, whine a little and end up giving up… Well today she didn’t give up… she took a leap, went for it… and realized she wasn’t dead and that she could swim… Here is a pic of her going for the ball in middle of the pond. It isn’t a great pic, it is from my cell phone and it was so bright out it was hard to see what I was taking a picture of… She is the splash in the middle…
