Sad day

First I want to say I know there are people who lost homes and more due to the flooding, but this is what I lost an it still sucks…

Today I went to help clean out Reminisce. The water in the store got to about 3 feet high in many places…. The moisture and humidity in the air wrecked anything that wasn’t under water.

It was just so sad to see Reminisce in this condition and to see it get emptied out into garbages, trailers and the parking lot… I worked for Reminisce for just over 3 years. I knew so many of the customers and I truly loved many of the customers. We truly were one family. It is hard to think about not seeing Caroline during one of her big shopping sprees… Or helping Connie pick out the best classes… Or helping Cari find the perfect shade of cardstock (we did have customers whose name didn’t start with C)… Hanging with Cheryl, Julie, Jolanda, Deb, Dawn, Rachel and Chris at the crops… Teaching, taking classes…. I will miss so much about the store. I knew I would have to let it go eventually but I wanted to be able to say goodbye to it… to prepare… The flood just took it all away in one big rush.

Here is a video the local news crew took while we were cleaning, I managed to avoid the camera, which is good because we really were not looking out best today…
