I was very proud of Jason for finishing the Potsdamer Marathon… He totally rocked it with a time of 4hours 6minutes…. The time pictured on the clock is a little off because it was based on when he crossed the start line, and with 3000 people it can take a while….

I am nearing the end of my last trip to Germany…  I leave tomorrow… I have been trying to upload pictures as much as I can… Jason’s flickr uploader on his mac is a little buggy though so it hasn’t been easy….  Flickr photos are linked to in the right hand column if you haven’t seen them… 

It has been a fun trip, got to see lots of things I haven’t gotten to see before… found lots of things I really love about Germany and lots of things I don’t really like… I will make a list post later… 

Lots seems to be happening elsewhere while I am here… Iowa is flooded and battered with storms a lot… but Rachel has been keeping an eye on my kitties for me and said all is good at my place… I swear we are one of the highest houses in the area so I am not concerned with flooding… storms however…

It is now official that I will be coming home to a closing store at Reminisce.  We will close at the end of the month… This leaves me in an interesting financial situation until subbing starts up again in September…  And Jason starts his fellowship again in September… Should be able to scrape by with what Jason brings home from Germany as well as some possible income from a little web thing we are doing…  I might also start getting paid for being Religious Ed Coordinator… Not sure on that one…  

It is sad to see the store close…  I hate to have to shop online, but Micheals and Hobby Lobby just don’t have the selection….. Ohwell…  I was planning on being done at Reminisce in September anyway so I could focus more on subbing my last few years in Iowa.

Well I will write more about Germany another time… once I am home safe with my puppies again.
