Before I get into all the fun stories of mine and Jason’s wedding day I would like to start with saying the day was perfect. It was beautiful and perfect… I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I am now extremely happily married to the love of my life!

Sunday, August 8th, 2004I am a very laid back bride… basically as long as we get married I will be happy… The problem is everyone else… “That isn’t how it was at my wedding.” “At so and so’s wedding it was like this.” “I just thought it was going to be like this…”
I think this is one of the main reasons people elope… but I want family and friends there… I just don’t want them all to expect things to be the way they know or think they should be…
I think it will be fine in the end… some people will think some things are wrong… or tacky… or not proper… but you know what? In a week they will have forgotten and Jason and I will be married… Thats all that matters in the end.
I spent a lot of time and energy trying to please everyone that I could… and I made quite a few compromises between what I wanted and what others wanted. So we will just have to see how it all goes in the end…
Planning is too much work… I am glad I only have to do this once!!

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2004As Christine commented in my last post… it is less than two weeks until the wedding… It is so hard to believe… Jason and I got engaged on September 5th, 2001…. Practically three years ago… The over two year engagement was bad for a procrastinator like me… But I think everything is done… It is getting to the point where I just sit back and hope all my vendors do everything correctly… It is kind of nice yet kind of scarey at the same time. It is hard to give up the control I guess…
Rings…
Tuesday, July 13th, 2004Well we got our rings. My solitare diamond will have a heart that goes around it and Jason has a black titanium ring with two silver stripes in it… I am excited… I like them. They don’t particularly match each other or anything but they are what each of us wanted…

Valentines Day Recap
Saturday, February 15th, 2003Jason made Valentine’s day absolutly wonderful for me… Did he waste money on cards, candy hearts or stuffed animals? Nope! My morning started out when I found (with J’s help) a bowl of folded roses. That means that Jason was up REALLY late the previous night folding roses out of printer paper… They are beautiful, maybe I will take a picture of one. Then he drove me to my one class of the day so I didn’t have to drive and walk there. He picked me up and took me to breakfast at a local restaurant we love. Then for lunch he took me to another restaurant we love. After his one class of the day we hung out at home and took a nap, then we went to see a play at the local community theater. And we ended our perfect Valentine’s day by ordering our favorite thing from a local pizza place. It was a wonderful day full of things he and I love doing together… Yippy!!! Oh yeah… and Tigs and Feeny got Jason a bunch of peanut butter cups… we have such sweet kitties!!
