High school bad… Husband good…

Well I have subbed three times now… once in a first/second grade room, once in a Kindergarten room and once in high school. I don’t like high school…. I’m just not cut out for it… It is actually easier… there is less work at the high school level… But I just can’t handle the disipline (sp?), the lack of care that they have… the PDA’s in the hallway… the baggy pants…. all of it… I didn’t like high school kids that much when I was one and I don’t now… But let me at those kindergarteners again!!! So that is high school bad…

Husband good… Before I started subbing I had been doing a lot of the work around here…. as far as laundry and dishes goes… but now that I have been a little busier J has been doing what he can when he can to help out… it is great coming home and seeing the pile of dishes gone and a load of laundry in the dryer… He also made shortbread cookies last night… I think they were really good but he didn’t like them as much as he likes the ones that he buys for snacks….

Quick update…

I subbed for the first time today… it was fun… it was for a first/second grade room… on the down side I am horribly sick and I just want to curl up in a ball and cry….

School’s Out

Yesterday was the last day of work… and I can barely call it that…. I went to school for 30 minutes to exchange gifts with my cooperating teacher. I almost cried when I said goodbye to the principal and I almost cried even more when I said good by to my CT…. She was really great and she taught me a lot… I am going to miss her and that school… the staff was amazing. I miss alot of my students already also… I am very happy I got a yearbook so I can remember their names and faces… I had a really good internship experience and I don’t think I could have asked for a better placement… *sigh*

Obla di, obla da…

… life goes on. Wow… have I sucked at posting… I have spent the last week just getting used to life…. getting used to my new schedule… getting used to the idea of having too much to do and too little time to do it in… (I think I used the word “to” and other forms of it too much in that last sentece) Anyway. My schedule is intense, and the lasses are even more intense. All of my classes except one will end half way through the semester, then I will spend the second half of my semester in a local school full time. That means that all assignments and projects need to be done in half the time of a normal class……… ahhhhhhh Breath……

School….

Well with the week almost over I have gone to all my classes except one at least once… so here is the rundown in case you were interested….
Math Education 345: This consists of playing with toys (aka Manipulatives) after a few weeks they also give us a class of kids to play with (aka teach).
German 101: I can say my name, ask names, ask where you live, say where I live and do some counting… But I still sound like I am hacking up a hairball as I do it… why am I taking this again??
Natural Resources 370: This is gonna be a boring one… the one I need to doodle the most in to stay awake… Because you know it is really new and interesting news to us that if we don’t stop pulluting there will be problems…
Music Education 381: They want me to sing, dance and learn to play the recorder… the Professor promised she won’t hurt us… I am just afraid my singing, dancing and recorder playing will hurt her…
History 212: American history since 1877… kinda self explanatory… except thay my teacher looks like Frodo…
English 345: History of the English language… it is a Monday night class so it is the one class I haven’t had yet…

There you go… I know you were so interested!!! :smile

I’m Done!!!!!
